Terraria 2 news 2019
As is in the old saying, If there’s a game you want to bring on a deserted island, it’s Terraria. I’m conscious that Terraria is on the expensive end of the scale for an indie game, but considering the years of gameplay it offers and the sheer quality of the port, it’s still a bargain, and will probably keep you busy well after you’ve seen everything there has to see from 60$ “AAA” games. I particularly love the ability to zoom in an out in the world with the pinch. First of all obviously you can play on the go, and also still enjoy the comfort of a big screen at home, but also the developers make great use of the touch screen, You can do everything with the the controller alone, but touch screen makes the experience much smoother. The game runs at a steady 60 FPS and the Switch port brings a few truly unique features that make it my favorite version to play. And past that it’s a completely seamless experience.
Yes the loading times are a bit long at game start, but still not as much as Graveyard Keeoer for instance. As for the technical aspect of the port, I am relieved to say that it’s near flawless.

The only complaint I have is the endgame - I wish there was more. You won't feel that you're fighting the same thing over and over again. The crowning feature are the bosses, each providing a unique challenge to them and having their own unique charm. The NPCs are also a fun system to interact with, each having their own quirks and traits that can help you on your quest. You could build your dream castle, or a nice little cottage - the possibilities are endless. The crafting system has plenty of variety in order to build weapons, tools, furniture, etc. While a bit hard to get used to, especially if you've played something like Minecraft, once you do, you won't wanna stop.
